What is different about Africa

Mobile money is the important difference. In several African markets more buyers can pay by phone than by card, and a store built only around card checkout excludes them. Delivery is the second problem: addressing conventions vary, and a checkout designed around postcodes does not fit every market here.

We build stores on Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom platform you own outright, chosen for how your business actually works rather than for what we prefer to build.

Specific to Africa

What we handle differently here

Mobile money

In several markets more buyers can pay by phone than by card; a card-only checkout excludes them.

Addressing

Conventions vary; a checkout designed around postcodes does not fit every market here.

Delivery

Courier coverage differs sharply between and within countries.

What gets built

The parts that decide whether it works

Checkout that finishes

Most stores lose more money between the cart and the confirmation than anywhere else. Fewer steps, wallets available, errors that say what is wrong, and a mobile flow built for thumbs rather than shrunk from the desktop one.

Catalogue that scales

Variants, bundles and stock that stay correct when the catalogue grows, and search and filtering that still return something useful at a thousand products.

The systems behind it

Orders reaching your accounting package, warehouse or ERP without anyone re-typing them, so the store is part of the operation rather than a separate thing to reconcile.

Working with us from Africa

Africa spans six time zones, and most of them sit comfortably inside our working day — West African time is around 03:30 to 12:30 during our hours, East African time around 07:30 to 16:30.

We are an in-house team in Ludhiana, Punjab, working since 2013. Nothing is subcontracted, so the people you speak to are the people writing the code. Hosting, domain and every account are in your name from the first day, and the contract says what you receive of the code before we start.

Three things usually sit next to a store build: a custom Shopify app where the platform stops short, AI for catalogue content and support once the store is busy, and search and answer-engine work so buyers in Africa find it at all.

Before you ask

Questions from Africa

Can you work with a business in Africa from India?

Africa spans six time zones, and most of them sit comfortably inside our working day — West African time is around 03:30 to 12:30 during our hours, East African time around 07:30 to 16:30. Day to day the work runs on email, WhatsApp and video calls, with written scopes and milestones, so nothing depends on catching each other live.

What currency will we be invoiced in?

We invoice in USD, split across project milestones rather than asking for the full amount upfront. You get a proper invoice for your accounts, and the first milestone is small by design so you can judge the work before committing further.

Who owns the store when it is finished?

You do. The store, the domain, the hosting and every third-party account are in your name, with full access handed over at launch, and the source code is yours where the contract says so, which for a store build is the usual arrangement. It is written into the quote before work starts.
