We are an in-house team in Ludhiana, Punjab, working since 2013. Nothing is subcontracted, so the people you speak to are the people writing the code. Hosting, domain and every account are in your name from the first day, and the contract says what you receive of the code before we start.

We invoice in EUR, split across project milestones rather than asking for the full amount upfront. You get a proper invoice for your accounts, and the first milestone is small by design so you can judge the work before committing further.
The accounts always: hosting, domain and every third-party service are registered in your name. The software is delivered either as source or as a licensed installation, and the contract says which before work starts. Where it is licensed you receive a working, supported system rather than the code, which keeps the platform from being resold and keeps outside changes from introducing faults in payouts.
