Ecommerce Website Development
A New Zealand store is usually shipping domestically and to Australia, which means two GST regimes and freight that behaves very differently across the Tasman. The domestic market is small enough that repeat purchase matters more than acquisition, so the parts of the store that bring people back earn their cost quickly.
We build stores on Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom platform you own outright, chosen for how your business actually works rather than for what we prefer to build.
Specific to New Zealand
Cards and local wallets, sized for a market where repeat purchase matters more than acquisition.
NZ GST domestically and Australian GST on trans-Tasman sales — two regimes in one store.
Domestic freight plus the very different economics of shipping to Australia.
What gets built
Most stores lose more money between the cart and the confirmation than anywhere else. Fewer steps, wallets available, errors that say what is wrong, and a mobile flow built for thumbs rather than shrunk from the desktop one.
Variants, bundles and stock that stay correct when the catalogue grows, and search and filtering that still return something useful at a thousand products.
Orders reaching your accounting package, warehouse or ERP without anyone re-typing them, so the store is part of the operation rather than a separate thing to reconcile.
Our day starts at about 16:30 New Zealand time, so the overlap is your late afternoon and evening. For New Zealand clients we generally take calls in our early morning, which is your working afternoon.
We are an in-house team in Ludhiana, Punjab, working since 2013. Nothing is subcontracted, so the people you speak to are the people writing the code. Hosting, domain and every account are in your name from the first day, and the contract says what you receive of the code before we start.
Three things usually sit next to a store build: a custom Shopify app where the platform stops short, AI for catalogue content and support once the store is busy, and search and answer-engine work so buyers in New Zealand find it at all.
Before you ask
Our day starts at about 16:30 New Zealand time, so the overlap is your late afternoon and evening. For New Zealand clients we generally take calls in our early morning, which is your working afternoon. Day to day the work runs on email, WhatsApp and video calls, with written scopes and milestones, so nothing depends on catching each other live.
We invoice in NZD, split across project milestones rather than asking for the full amount upfront. You get a proper invoice for your accounts, and the first milestone is small by design so you can judge the work before committing further.
You do. The store, the domain, the hosting and every third-party account are in your name, with full access handed over at launch, and the source code is yours where the contract says so, which for a store build is the usual arrangement. It is written into the quote before work starts.
Describe the situation in plain language. If we are the wrong team for it, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
